i just got the cutest idea for twin blythe dolls named caligula and nero. but to find someone who cares enough about dolls and history is impossible so maybe i’ll do it myself ;A ;
you’re so sweet, thank you so much! i’m glad you like them.
can’t wait for the lovely 15 minutes of free time where i get to read my elvis book in the bath before i have to study for 12 hours straight yet again
pinning photos of my favorite figures in egyptian history on pinterest instead of actually studying for my egypt exam ha ha
oh gosh it’s such a silly story and it’s actually very indicative of my age (i was fourteen)
when i was fourteen/fifteen i was absolutely obsessed with kirk. so when i went to see metallica live i was so excited to see him. i was right in the very front to the point where he was about a meter and a bit away from me. when he came around i would yell “i love you” and all that ridiculous stuff and of course because of the lack of distance he actually noticed.
he looked directly at me and threw one of his plain black picks at me but the person beside me got it. of course that turned my excitement into utter despair and my tears of joy turned into real tears very quickly. i suppose kirk noticed that i was not reacting the way i was supposed to be reacting, and i guess realized what happened and got one of his heart shaped picks and gave to the security guard to give to me. (i was like completely shaken so my best friend at the time had to get it for me instead)
of course at this point i almost died from the fact that he actually cared enough about some teenie in the mosh pit to do this for me. it really meant a lot, and still does to this day. looking back i’m a little embarrassed but it was quite overwhelming! i cried for like hours and hours and hours and wore the pick around my neck until the chain broke. now i keep it in a little glass thing because i don’t trust myself with it outside the house.
